 Yesterday : Juha KANKKUNEN /Juha PIIRONEN - Rallye d'Australie 1989

The beginning of the Group A years was marked by the domination of the Lancia Delta. It took some time for Toyota to catch up with its Italian rival. The Celica's first victory was attributed to Juha KANKKUNEN during the 1989 Australian Rally. The same car would also finish second in the Argentina Rally the following year, driven by Carlos SAINZ.

This Toyota was then used as a Marlboro show car before joining the personal collection of Toyota Team Europe boss Ove Anderson.

On the death of Ove Anderson, this Toyota became the property of the workshop foreman who finally sold it to Jean-Pierre VANNERUM.

Currently, it has several participations in the Eifel Rallye Festival, the Legend Boucles as well as the Rally Legend in San Marino, without forgetting our Festival where Jean-Pierre VANNERUM and Ysabelle PLAS were already present. The crew also represented Toyota at the Goodwood Festival of Speed.
