Yesterday : Mariane HOEPFNER / Denise EMMANUELLI - Tour de Corse 1977
To promote his Aseptogyl toothpaste, Bob Neyret essentially appealed to female crews. Mariane Hoepfner (who will become Madame Trintignant) is one of Grenoble's favorite drivers. We have seen it on all kinds of cars in pink and white colors: Alpine Berlinette, but also single-seater Alpine, Lancia Stratos, Peugeot 504, Autobianchi A112... And this Toyota Celica entrusted in 1977 by the TTE at the same time as four other cars to the Aseptogyl team. At the end of the event, Jean-Paul Hopfner bought his wife's car from Bob NEYRET, as well as that of Anna Cambiaghi (chassis 27407). During a gravel event, he crashes Mariane's car. It is therefore at the wheel of Cambiaghi's car that she participates in the Acropolis rally. She will have to give up on carburation problem.
Michel Cazalot is an eclectic driver. We have seen him behind the wheel of a MEP, a Triumph TR3 or a Dangel pick-up with which he occupied the front positions during the Paris-Dakar 1982. He acquired in 2017 of this beautifully restored Toyota Celica in its Tour de Corse 77 configuration.
