The United States has hosted a round of the World Rally Championship for three seasons. From 1986 to 1988 the protagonists thus competed on the special stages of the Olymus Rally. Alongside manufacturers fighting for victory, such as Audi or Lancia, Suzuki entered three small Ignis GTi in 1988, known there as the Cultus.
"Monster" TAJIMA finished in a good 7th place behind the Lancia Delta of Jorge RECALDE, while Alan CARTER finished 9th.

Pierrot HUBERTY is a Suzuki dealer in Belgium. His love for the Japanese brand prompted him to build a replica of this rare car.
