Launched at the 1978 Paris Motor Show, the Chrysler Sunbeam Ti ("Twin Induction") is intended to replace the Simca Rallye. Derived from the Avenger, it adopts a 1600 cm3 with two Weber 40 CDOE carburettors which develop 100 horsepower as standard. The Sunbeam Ti remains a rigid rear axle propulsion.

Very quickly she is engaged in competition. On the track, as part of the SRT Cup, but also in rallies. The multitude of parts of the Avenger allows numerous Group 1 and 2 homologations to be enjoyed by amateur pilots.

Among them is Jean-Marie Jacquemin. Gifted driver, as well as talented mechanic, he has established himself over the years as a specialist in Simca Rallies and then Sunbeam.

Bernard DRESSEN reproduced the car used in the 1980 season in KINLEY livery. Together with Alex PAQUAY, he enters Alsace Rallye Festival for the second time.
