Yesterday : Bernard BEGUIN / Jean-Jacques LENNE - Tour de Corse 1982

In 1979 Bernard BEGUIN took on the French Rally Championship. He entrusted Louis MESNARIE with the preparation of his Porsche 3L SC. Success is on the way. With his co-driver Jean-Jacques LENNE, he won 9 of the 13 races. In 1980, change of livery and program. The car becomes white and green in the colors of sponsor Armel and BEGUIN finishes second in the European Championship. In 1981, the car turned red again. A mini-program of 4 events is rewarded with 3 victories. In 1982, new color change. The car wears a blue dress, in the colors of Sonauto, the Porche importer and Kenwood, manufacturer of car radios. And BEGUIN will end the season in second place in the Championship.

Fred WALTER is a regular at the Festival. After a Nissan Group B and a Lancia Stratos, this year he presents a replica of this iconic car from the career of Bernard BEGUIN. He will be co-driven by his daughter Léonie.
